After almost 30 years in the corporate world, and moving all around the southeast United States, my wife and I relocated to a small town in rural Tennessee.  We have traveled all around the world, including Africa, eastern Europe, and Central and South America, but there’s no place in the world we like better than the Smoky Mountains.

Now my days are filled with chores, yard work, and writing (when I can). In addition to the short articles I write for this site, I am working on a book.  It started as a somewhat autobiographical novel for my wife, but has morphed into a much bigger project.  Maybe it’ll get finished one day.

Whenever we get a chance, we head up to the mountains for some relaxation.  Beautiful scenery, pancakes, lots of animals, small hometown shops, pancakes, good people, peace and quiet, and pancakes.  Life just doesn’t get any better!
